I’ve been in such an awesome design groove since hitting 30! LOL! I have lots of new products in my store as well as Pink Ink Studios. Check them out and today is Tempting $2 Tuesday! You never know what will be on sale for only $2!

Hope you all had a great weekend – mine was a 3 day one. I’m behind on the word of the day. I’ll try to get back on that on Tuesday.
Toodles,

I’m making room in the store for new stuff…come grab some retiring items on SALE!

Today’s word is green and I’m talking the color green. I don’t think I need to really go into my love of green since anyone who reads this, knows ANYTHING about me or sees most of what I design can tell.

But I will share a past green layout of mine and I have a funny story with you from yesterday about green. I was in a meeting about “going green” and how we can creatively promote that in a campaign and/or any ideas. One of the girls turned to me and said, “Green is totally your thing, come up with ideas!” I thought it was funny cause I am the resident green girl but not necessarily an environmental expert who knows ways to promote being green. It made me laugh though.

Also yesterday at work Erik Estrada (from Chips) and Mark Consuelos (Kelly Ripa’s husband) were in the office doing some PR for our new movie, Husband For Hire on Oxygen this weekend. I heard they were coming the other day and I thought it would be funny to find some super cheesy photo of Erik Estrada from Chips and have him sign it. Well I found the best thing on Ebay…a Ponch Action Figure! If it was so damn expensive and would have gotten it in time I would have gotten it. I decided the next best thing was to print it and have him sign that. I thought this was a good idea in my head but wasn’t so sure I was going to do it. Anyways, my peeps from work convinced me to do it and thought it was funny.
Well Erik was actually VERY nice and signed it and laughed. He asked where I got it from and I think I made him smile. LOL! Classic..this action figure cracks me up!!!
Have a fabulous weekend and I’ll try to work on the next round of words soon.

P.S. Free Valentine’s Day Card Template over at Pink Ink Studios from me..today only!
It’s day 2 I this and I’m feeling lazy already…
It has been brought to my attention that I put the word creative on my list of words twice. I’m just so creative it somehow got on the list twice. My friend Jill who pointed it out (by the way thank you for pointing it out and reading my blog) suggested the word dedicated. So I’m adding DEDICATED as #7. And speaking of the word creative that is the word of the day! I actually took some liberty with the word and condensed it to CREATE.

Ever since I can remember I have been creative in some shape or form. I’m an only child which I think has lended to my creativity since I entertained myself, which is a good characteristic to have. I’m so happy to work in a creative field but sometimes I can’t turn my brain off from thinking of things. I tend to always be thinking of layouts, ideas, graphics and such. I guess it’s not a bad thing unless I want to sleep but I’m happy to pay the bills with my creativity ability.

I was thinking about it last night and I’m not sure I’m going to take photos of myself and incorporate them into this project. I’m thinking of using this experience to journal some thoughts, scrap some ideas, put together art pieces or just some cool graphic design layouts. I was also mulling over last night in my head that there were tons more words I could have added to the list but didn’t. So maybe if this goes well I’ll do a Part 2 of this. LOL!
Anyways, my first word to start of this exercise I mentioned from yesterday is : TV.

I’ll say it…I watch A LOT of TV! I work in the television industry, so that’s how I can justify watching and recording so much stuff. I need to stay up on current trends and shows!
Certain shows make me so happy. One of my favorite shows currently is Men in Trees. I love this show! I actually watched it the first time by accident and really digged it. Now I’m a faithful fan but I’m afraid it’s on the chopping block, which makes me sad. Even when I was younger I remember watching tv shows and admiring actors/actresses, enjoying the story lines and the excitement they caused. It’s part of me and who I am. What can I say, I’m a media/tv junkie!

Next word tomorrow…creative.

My friend Holly suggested coming up with 30 words that define who you are. Every day for 30 days you’ll have to take a picture of ourselves then turn that word and your picture into some form of art. I might bend the rules and use some pictures of myself that were previous taken. Shhh.
My 30 words that define who I am:

Anyways, there is a lot of therapy in creativity so I’m willing to give this challenge a whirl to get the creative juices flowing since I’m feeling uncreative this week.
So, I’ll be back hopefully to kick this off…wish me luck!

I spent most of the day yesterday archiving stuff off my computer and deleting files to make room. I am a “collector” of stuff in real life and seems I’m a collector in the digital land as well. I download so much stuff which is mostly freebies and never sort things out on my machine. I have folders upon folders within folders of STUFF! It’s ridiculous! I finally think I reached a good place yesterday with the all the files.
One of my goals for 2007 was to simplify and I did move in that direction somewhat but I tackled more important things last year. Anyways, this year is going to be all about SIMPLIFYING! I’m going to move forward trying to make things more simple and by doing this I’m going to TRY…not downloading as many freebies I know I’m not going to use. Us scrappers all do it! We download lots of stuff and stash away stuff to never use it! Well I’m going to try to curb this habit and only download what I know I can use and is my style. Need to keep my life and computer filing simpler.
So I urge all you whorders of goodies who don’t use them…stop downloading and only take what you need. That’s my public service announcement for today.
On another note, I talked to an old friend today from childhood that I haven’t talked to in awhile. It was so nice to connect with her again. It’s been too long…time is flying by in life. Esh!!
Anyways, I’ll be back tomorrow with a sale announcement….so check back, ya hear!
