Packing last minute stuff for our trip to Chicago. I’m excited about the trip and nervous too but it should be fun. Seems like it might be super hot there too. Gotta love summer – NOT! Since this week is all about baseball with the All Star Game in NYC it seems fitting I attended one of my all time favorite musicals, Damn Yankees. It’s not about The Yankees per say but definitely about baseball. Sean Hayes from Will & Grace and Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock are the leads and they were pretty damn good. Still singing “You gotta have heart…miles and miles of heart…” and “Whatever Lola Wants….Lola Gets”.
Speaking of baseball I’m working on finishing up a baseball kit called Hey Batter. So to preview it here’s a freebie to enjoy. Hope to get it done by Tuesday but we’ll see.
Anyways, not all that chatty tonight. Trying to pack for Chicago and get everything together….we leave on Thursday. I’m excited about going and about attending CHA. Just need to make it through 3 work days this week. I’ll try to post before I leave and if anyone out there is going to CHA drop me a line =)
How is it possible that it is July already?! I’ve been busy trying to get in the July 4th mood (woo hoo, 3 days weekend) and I’ve been designing some fun items that are in the store now. I hope you enjoy my Oh My July kit which will be on sale all this week and weekend!

Hello people in cyberland! It’s been a LONG LONG week and I think this is the longest stretch of non blogging from me. I literally worked 80 hours this week and I’m not sure I could feel any worse right now. Everything hurts and I’m so tired I feel it in my teeth. Not to mention that I have to go to work tomorrow on Sunday. I think about it and I get so MAD. I’m trying to hang in there and stay positive but that feeling really left mid week, especially after the 17 hour day I had on Wednesday. It’s not like I’m a doctor doing shift work making people feel better…I’m a graphic DESIGNER!
Anyways, in trying to keep a positive attitude here’s some word art for you. I’m trying to embrace this sentiment and plus it was a good distraction =)
So that’s where I am if you don’t see me much online. If anyone wants to hire me for a full time design job let me know…I need a new job! =)

Today’s word is green and I’m talking the color green. I don’t think I need to really go into my love of green since anyone who reads this, knows ANYTHING about me or sees most of what I design can tell.
But I will share a past green layout of mine and I have a funny story with you from yesterday about green. I was in a meeting about “going green” and how we can creatively promote that in a campaign and/or any ideas. One of the girls turned to me and said, “Green is totally your thing, come up with ideas!” I thought it was funny cause I am the resident green girl but not necessarily an environmental expert who knows ways to promote being green. It made me laugh though.
Also yesterday at work Erik Estrada (from Chips) and Mark Consuelos (Kelly Ripa’s husband) were in the office doing some PR for our new movie, Husband For Hire on Oxygen this weekend. I heard they were coming the other day and I thought it would be funny to find some super cheesy photo of Erik Estrada from Chips and have him sign it. Well I found the best thing on Ebay…a Ponch Action Figure! If it was so damn expensive and would have gotten it in time I would have gotten it. I decided the next best thing was to print it and have him sign that. I thought this was a good idea in my head but wasn’t so sure I was going to do it. Anyways, my peeps from work convinced me to do it and thought it was funny.
Well Erik was actually VERY nice and signed it and laughed. He asked where I got it from and I think I made him smile. LOL! Classic..this action figure cracks me up!!!
