Shirley MacLaine Layout

I finally got a chance to do a layout from the Shirley MacLaine book signing that I blogged about back in Apil.I haven’t been scrapbooking lately so it felt good to get this done.

Graduation Day

Today was graduation at my college so I thought I would post a layout documenting my graduation day. Although my graduation day was 12 years ago (gulp) I just recently finished this layout. Better late then never!

Dwell in Possibilities

Now available for your scrapbooking pleasure is Michelle Underwood’s newest kit, Dwell in Possibilities. Love the bright colors – so fun!

I had fun playing around with the kit with my layout documenting my 2nd cousin, Kaitlin and I reconnecting a few months ago. It always feels good to capture a special memory and be able to preserve it for the future in a scrapbook layout.

The Martha Stewart Show

A year ago today my friends and I went to see a taping of The Martha Stewart Show and I just got around to documenting it. Even though it took a year to “scrap” this event the point is I did it. There are no time limits on scrapbooking the event in your life, sometimes I forget this and stress over it. So do whatever feels right for you and don’t feel pressured to get it all documented right away. I do however suggest journaling the details of events soon after so you don’t forget them, even if it’s just a few notes jotted down quickly.

Take Note: 2 Clowns

I have finally gotten back into scrapbooking and just in time to play with Michelle Underwood‘s new kit, Take Note.

My mom emailed me this photo recently and I thought it was a good memory to record of my Dad and I from the circus. I still can’t believe this was so long ago, time sure does march forward when you aren’t looking. And I’m not that particularity fond of clowns but I’ll make an exception here, as I hope you will too :)

Happy Anniversary!

I’d like to wish my parents a wonderful 39th wedding anniversary today! It also would have been my grandparent’s 67th anniversary as well so in honor of them I decided to scrapbook their wedding photo. Sending happy anniversary wishes to my parents and thinking of fond memories of my Nannie and Poppie – miss you both so much!

On a side note, this layout took me forever! I haven’t scrapbooked in awhile as I have been designing other things and I felt rusty coming back to it. I guess I shouldn’t take such a long break from it next time.

Happy Birthday, Hal!

Wishing a very happy 86th Birthday to the one and only Hal Holbrook!

Bridal 101: Photo Booth Trend

Photo booth rentals are the hottest party and wedding trend the past few years. A favorite of all ages, photo booths offer hours of fun at weddings. They remind us of our youth and they freeze us in candid moments of silliness or affection. I have to admit I’m a sucker for photo booths and I would have had one at my wedding if they were popular back then. I have been to many holiday parties over the years where there was a photo booth and it was always a hit!

As previously mentioned props are being used in wedding photos and that is true for photo booth photos as well. Props for photo booths can be even sillier with crazy wigs, signs and fun printables! These fun photo opportunities are a great way to break the ice and get people mixing and laughing. These fun photo stripes are great extra favors for guests and not to worry many companies offer couples copies of all of the photos on CD.

Perfect

Here’s a layout of my dear friend Kali’s new baby, Nathan using Michelle Underwood‘s kit Perfectly Imperfect. Figured we could use a little wedding break!

33rd Birthday Layout

I recently documented my 33rd birthday with the new Michelle Underwood kit, Vintage Colors available at Two Peas In A Bucket. I even scanned some items in to make it more personal and to tell the story better. I love the card from my nephew Jackson – it cracks me up every time I see it.
