Holly Berry Boutique

Last week I had the opportunity to be apart of the Holly Berry Boutique at my nephew’s school. It was great to meet people and introduce them to my service of custom scrapbooks.

The biggest hit of the night was my new service – kids art books. Recently I scanned a ton of my nephew’s artwork to preserve it in scrapbook form and also to help his parents save some space. Well a lot of parents could relate with needing more space since their kid’s artwork takes up a lot of real estate.

And Jackson was thrilled to see his artwork in a book. He didn’t want to stop looking at it – too cute! So if you are interested in doing your very own art scrapbook of your child’s art please place an order through the new store! Once your order is placed I will contact you to start your book. You can see more of the photos from the boutique on my Facebook fan page.

Weekend Wrap Up: 10•10•10

Happy 10•10•10! I’m bringing you the Weekend Wrap Up early since tomorrow starts Maternity Matters week on the blog. Yesterday we enjoyed a corn maze adventure, hayride and pumpkin picking with the family. Being from NYC this was my first official corn maze and hayride. It was cute seeing our niece and nephew excited to pick out pumpkins and explore the corn maze. The weather was absolutely gorgeous again this weekend like last – although a bit warm to have the Fall feel though. I would be happy with this weather – 75º and sunny all year round if I could.

I’m working on some finishing touches to layouts and posts all about mommy-to-be matters. So stay tune for tomorrow’s kick off and I hope you will join me!

My Winter Vacation

I know I’ve been on vacation and I haven’t blogged much?! I’ve been catching up on my R & R time which I really think I desperately needed since 2008 kicked my ass! Anyways to recap my time off thus far: I’ve been sleeping late a lot, doing a bunch of nothing, stalked the UPS man one day for packages to make sure they weren’t stolen, did 7 loads of laundry, spent time with Johnny, lots of Facebook time, saw some friends as well as time with some family, cleaned some, organized and scrapped/created some (new Valentine’s Day kit coming soon). Exciting huh? LOL!

Here is a picture of our nephew, Jackson from our trip to the Museum of Natural History. We probably went on the busiest weeks ever being that kids were out of school and they ALL wanted to see dinosaurs. OMG it was INSANE but it was fun. And Jackson got to have a pretzel “the size of his head!” so it was all worth it. Cute kid!

So that’s been my winter vacation and I dread it ending, so I hope someone I know will win the lotto soon so I don’t have to go bak to work on Thursday. =)

Jot It Down

I’ve been reconnecting lately with old friends from high school and even grammar school. While I’m excited by getting in  touch with people and catching up I’m realizing I don’t remember lots of things. I know you lose your memory when you get older but I’m finding it harder and harder to recall things I thought I would never forget. So this has made me realize I need to jot things down and try better to journal even the small things.

Worked on a layout this weekend of the highlights from our Chicago trip. Good thing when I got back from my trip I tried to make sure to just journal the key events and sights down. This is a perfect was to help me remember it all someday.

Also, on Friday I was surprised when I got to work. There were several statues from one of my favorite artists, Romero Britto. I was so glad I had my camera with me that day! Cool! Check out the other photos here on my Flickr.

Vintage Baby

Found this photo while looking for something and thought it was classic and had to share!! Vintage 1987 baby! Sadly the Mets lost the other night which was just bad but I almost catch a ball and got to see Davey up close at batting practice. All in all it was a good time. Photos to come soon. Going back to work tomorrow after my week off and I can’t say I’m too excited about it. Blah!

Busy Bee

I’ve been off the past few days and we have been super busy! I’m so tired and sore today from the past few days. I’ll try to catch you up though. =)

Wednesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary. We took the Staten Island Ferry over to Staten Island for a walk around. We saw the 9/11 memorial that is over there. Wonderful views and so nice and quiet! Took a water taxi over to the Brooklyn Bridge/Fulton Ferry Landing. We finally got to get some awesome ice cream from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory! After that we had some Gramboli’s pizza. I know ice cream before pizza? crazy! We topped off the end of the day with a brisk walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. A lot for one day I know!?

Thursday we both took care of same business things and decided to tackle Governors Island on Friday. Governors Island is pretty big and amazing to see. We rented bikes for free and took a ride around the island. I haven’t been on a bike in years and it was a lot of fun to put the peddle to the metal again. Maybe a bike is in my future? Not sure in this city but it sure is fun to be a tourist in my own town sometimes.

Saturday we spent the day in NJ seeing the family. The kids are a blast and after walking over a bridge and biking riding it’s VERY hard to keep up with them!! LOL! I need to get in shape to do that on a regular basis. =P

Today, I’m trying to catch up on things. Been scrapping and designing. Had to archive tons of files to make room. Also I spent way too much money on an online auction for Dani Mogstad‘s whole digi collection. I think of it as an investment though not a big purchase!

Just watched the Primetime Emmy’s before and they made me laugh. Have another busy day tomorrow as we are heading to Shea for our last Met’s game. We have really good seats and will be going early to see batting practice. Hoping to meet or see Davey Wright up close. Yum!!

Anyways, that’s a lot of stuff I just threw at ya. Be back in a few days when things return to normal.

Unique Creations

Here’s a cool poster I saw when I was at CHA from the Kaiser Crafts company. Thought it was a perfect sentiment, it’s elegantly grungy and it’s in green! What’s not to love?

On the scrappin’ front, I’ve wrangled a great bunch of gals to help work with me on creating another Think Pink Charity Kit for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Not sure of all the details but contact me if you want to know more about the kit and stuff like that. More news on that soon =)

One final thought – enjoy every moment in this life and love everyone that is near and dear to your heart. You never know when that final day will come. Let us never forget on this special day.
