Last week we stumbled upon the show Person of Interest shooting a scene up the street from us. We’re big fans of the show so it was pretty cool to see. Spoiler alert: Jim Caviezel and Taraji P. Henson were filming a scene TOGETHER! Michael Emerson wasn’t there but a crew member told us the show was picked up for 22 full episodes. These are the things that make me love living in NYC!
Recently me and my friends went to see a taping of The Martha Stewart Show. We were excited about seeing Martha, potentially some cool guests and giveaways. Luckily we were in the front of the line so we were guaranteed seats. We even got free coffee from the Chock Full o’Nuts truck. Seeing the set and how they put together the show was cool but we were slightly disappointed with the guests – organic food chefs, nothing craft related unfortunately. Although Martha got a little miffed during a segment, so that was something to see and we did get a free book. LOL! Anyways, it was an experience but the time with friends and the drinks afterwards were the highlight of the day overall.
I’m working on a Dixie Carter blog post – it’s just taking me forever since she was very near and dear to me. Hopefully sometime soon!!
I know I have been MIA lately blog people but sometimes you need a break away. We were away for a few days last week and it’s been hard settling back into things. Plus it’s gotten very cold on the East Coast that makes me dread the idea of winter and just want to hibernate and do nothing. Haven’t really been scrappin much lately, not sure why. Just not feeling it. Trying to relax more and enjoy whatever time I have away from work. Been catching up on some tv shows lately and half are pretty awful and the other half are genius. Always seems like the awful ones linger and the good ones go away.
And for anyone who watches Ghost Whisperer I think it’s becoming completely dumb. Spoiler alert – how could they kill off Jim? Come on. I know I get so worked up over fake people and characters. I always have and when they do silly things to upset my shows well it makes me mad. I just want some enjoyable tv after working in the tv biz all day. LOL!!
We recently have been obsessed with 30Rock and watched all 2 seasons of the DVDs. We didn’t really give into watching it before since it touches too close to home. But alas we finally started watching it and it’s pure GENIUS! Tina Fey aka Liz Lemon is my hero! I can’t wait for season 3 to come back in a few weeks. Blërg!
Haven’t blogged in awhile I know. Besides splitting headaches and not feeling well, working late and watching 30Rock everyday not much is new. I had been scrapping often but not in the past few days. Hopefully this week I can get some motivation cause I picked up some new scrappin goodies. =P
Going to the neurologist on Thursday and hope to have some answers about my health issues. So if I don’t blog much this week that’s why.
Before I go here’s some layouts I recently did for Halloween/Fall.
I started off my hot day with the new Mint Mocha Chip Frappuccino Light Blended Coffee from Starbucks. I saw it on the menu last week there and I decided today was the day to try it. I love chocolate mint so this was perfect and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It was DIVINE and made going back to work today more bearable. Although I was sadden to hear that my beloved show, Men in Trees was cancelled. I knew it was in danger to be canned and fans were fighting it but seems it really will end. I love this show and always look forward to it..it’s the show that makes me happy. Damn them!!! Anyways, the remaining episodes are slated for a summer run and I’ll be tuned in, happy to savor the last of a series that was short, but very sweet.
I was thinking about it last night and I’m not sure I’m going to take photos of myself and incorporate them into this project. I’m thinking of using this experience to journal some thoughts, scrap some ideas, put together art pieces or just some cool graphic design layouts. I was also mulling over last night in my head that there were tons more words I could have added to the list but didn’t. So maybe if this goes well I’ll do a Part 2 of this. LOL!
Anyways, my first word to start of this exercise I mentioned from yesterday is : TV.
I’ll say it…I watch A LOT of TV! I work in the television industry, so that’s how I can justify watching and recording so much stuff. I need to stay up on current trends and shows!
Certain shows make me so happy. One of my favorite shows currently is Men in Trees. I love this show! I actually watched it the first time by accident and really digged it. Now I’m a faithful fan but I’m afraid it’s on the chopping block, which makes me sad. Even when I was younger I remember watching tv shows and admiring actors/actresses, enjoying the story lines and the excitement they caused. It’s part of me and who I am. What can I say, I’m a media/tv junkie!

Men in Trees is back on tv tonight and I can’t wait to see it! It’s been over 6 months since it was new and I’m so excited about it. Woo hoo!
We started watching Showtime’s new show, Californication the other night and love it! David Duchovny is very good in it…a real departure from the charachers I’ve seen him play. It’s really a great show you should really check out! Speaking of new shows, I recently made a list of all the new Fall shows that I want to check out. I’m a dork but when you work in television it’s good to know what’s out there..that’s my excuse. LOL! Anyways, I am looking forward to all the premieres of my old shows, especially Men in Trees since the last 4 episodes from last season didn’t air. We just got a new TV with HD and all, so now I just need me shows to come back.
Can you believe it’s May 1st already?!!!! Where does the time go?!
Yesterday was a crazy work day. It was busy as soon as I walked in the door and that’s tough for a Monday! I hope today is a bit smoother though. Plus I have the Mets game tonight so I need to leave at a decent time. It might also rain! I hope it holds off till after the game…we’ll see!
Just picked up the new Michael Buble CD that came out today called Call Me Irresponsible. I’m listening to it now before I start the day. It’s pretty good so far. He has a cool version of L-O-V-E…love that song. Check him and out be sure to get the cd.

P.S. On a side note…I’m so not happy with Hereos. What was last night all about? Blah! Where is Men in Trees?? LOL
I miss Men in Trees..the show not actual men in trees. LOL! I am happy to hear that it was picked up for another season though. I also hear it should be back early May…so soon!
Speaking of shows, I was quite disappointed with Heroes the other night. I dare say that I’m enjoying Lost more these days. Maybe it’s because we are finally gettting answers. We’ll see how long that lasts though…need to watch last night’s episode still! =P
